“Art must be like that mirror that reveals to us this face of ours”

BA(Hons) Fine Art, Surrey Institute of Art & Design, England UK
A British artist living in the Great Smoky Mountains of Western North Carolina, U.S.A.
All of my life I have been creating things: paintings, ceramics, etchings, sculpture, scenery painting and costumes for the local after school program. My work is eclectic and symbolic. Colours and textures excite me. The themes of communication, travel memory and natural elements occur throughout my work. Music is an inspiration to me.
My artistic influences include Marc Chagall, Edvard Munch, Mark Rothko, David Smith, Mark di Suvero, Auguste Rodin, J.M.W. Turner, Jack Vettriano, Wassily Kandinsky, and Edward Gorey.
As an Artist/Educator, I have facilitated art workshops for colleges, schools, and after school programs. I was fortunate enough to work alongside 23 other talented practising artists for ‘Creative Response’, an independent arts-related charity in the UK. This organisation works with vulnerable people and does great work to help people in the community.
I am currently working with some beautiful Porcelain clay.
